What do you do when someone or something opposes you?
THE WHEEL OF LIFE AND OPPOSING FORCES
OPPOSING FORCES & PERSPECTIVE
Two people are tasked to open a gigantic valve wheel. They position themselves on opposite sides to push the wheel counter-clockwise.
From the ground, it seems they are pushing in opposite directions.
If you look from above, you will see both are pushing in the same direction.
“Ground” and “above” can pertain to levels of consciousness.
From the ground, opposites exist. From above, opposites work together. How we perceive opposites depends on perspective.
FROM THE GROUND
At lower levels of consciousness, it seems someone or something is against us—"life is hard."
FROM ABOVE
At higher levels of consciousness, we witness balance—opposing forces complementing one another. We realize nothing opposes us, and we learn to trust what life brings. That's living live with ease.
Your natal chart is your wheel of life. Learn to read your natal chart, so you can identify the forces at work in your life. Would you like to experience life from ground level or from above?
THE PENDULUM EXERCISE & MERGING OPPOSITES
Two people in disagreement think they are worlds apart. But there is a point where they can be come together and be one.
Let's do a simple exercise.
Steps
1 - Run your natal chart. Identify a sign you are familiar with, such as your Sun sign.
2 - Refer to the list below and take note of its opposite sign.
Aries - Libra
Taurus - Scorpio
Gemini - Sagittarius
Cancer - Capricorn
Leo - Aquarius
Virgo - Pisces
3 - Refer to the pendulum diagram and familiarize yourself with points A, B and C.
4 - Identify an expression or quality of the sign you chose (Point A).
For example, Libra tries hard to appease everyone
5 - Identify an expression or quality of its opposite sign (Point C)
For example, Aries does not consider others; considers self only
6 - Merge the expression or qualities of both signs (Point B)
Libra + Aries - Considers one's interests and the interest of others
Conclusion: Opposite signs seem like they are worlds apart. But when balanced, opposite signs share the same expressions or qualities.
When faced with an opposing view, strike a balance. Take your view and combine it with the other person's view.

Aries-Libra: Independent Partner
Taurus-Scorpio: Cost-Conscious Chef
Gemini-Sagittarius: Practical Philosopher

APPRECIATE YOUR OPPOSITE
My art appreciation teacher said, “If you do not like a piece of art, you must be able to describe what you do not like about it. In the process, you might fall in love with it.”
DANCE IN THEIR SHOES
If anything opposes you, get into the groove.
What does she like? What turns him on?
If you like dancing Cha-Cha, and she likes Boogie. Learn Boogie. Dance together and show her your Cha-Cha moves.
Come up with a new dance step. Call it “Boo-Cha-Cha.”
THE VIEW FROM ABOVE
Q: Why do opposing forces work together or complement one another at higher levels of consciousness ?
A: Raising one's consciousness is like shortening the string of a pendulum.
Think of the string of a pendulum as levels of consciousness or levels of vibe
Longer string = wider swing, lower consciousness and vibe
Shorter string = less swing, higher consciousness and vibe
At a low vibe like shame-guilt-apathy, the pendulum will swing father from one crest to another
Shorten the string by raising your vibe to Love, and the pendulum will remain still.
PENDULUM LINGO 101
- A wiggle in time is called a vibration.
- A wiggle in time and space is called a wave.
- The wavelength or the distance between crests of a short pendulum is shorter than the wavelength of a long pendulum.
- The shorter the wavelength, the higher the frequency or "vibe."
If the crests on both ends represent opposing views, in a shorter pendulum, the opposing views will not be too disparate.
At the level of Love, there are no opposites.
Love is the key to marrying opposing forces be it two people, two organizations or two nations.
Turn to Love when faced with opposition.
