Q: What is Medieval Astrology?

A (Rami): Medieval Astrology includes the techniques of Abu 'Ali al-Khayyat, Abu Ma'shar, Bonatti, Gaurico, Ibn Ezra, John Dee, Messahallah, Montulmo, Morinus Placidus and others.  Its methods delineate reality objectively to predict events in a person’s life.  It is difficult to talk about Medieval Astrology without touching on history.

Classical or Traditional Astrology is roughly divided into three distinct periods.

• Hellenistic, circa 200 BC to 600 AD
• Medieval, 800 AD to 1500 AD
